We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our health records team within our Health Records Department QHB (Queens Hospital Burton). The department is based off site at Wharf Road in Burton where we provide a Health Records Service for the Trust. This role involves supporting the dismantling, scanning, and verification of health records within electronic systems, as well as the appraisal and secure destruction of records. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, securely, and in line with agreed targets and timescales, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, confidentiality, and information governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- To dismantle, scan and verify health records into the computer system accurately and to specified quality standards and timescales.
- To provide routine clerical support within the Health Records Department to ensure an effective and efficient service to all users.
- To include retrieval and filing of case notes, identify and filter case notes in accordance with Trust Policies, KPI’s and departmental SOP’s.
- To review the storage of case notes both on and off-site when reviewing for retention and destruction, ensuring data corresponds with the Patient Administration System (PAS) meeting the information governance standards.
