What you'll do
- Prepare and serve delicious food and drinks while delivering a friendly and welcoming experience for every customer.
- Support both front and back of house operations, helping ensure catering services run smoothly throughout the day.
- Set up and replenish food counters, ensuring displays are attractive, well-stocked, and ready for service.
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers and creating a positive dining experience.
- Support hospitality and vending services as required across the site.
- Assist with basic food preparation, pot washing, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
- Operate tills accurately, process transactions, and complete end-of-service cashing-up procedures.
- Monitor food quality, stock rotation, and product displays, ensuring food safety standards are maintained.
- Complete daily and scheduled cleaning tasks, keeping catering and dining areas clean, safe, and hygienic.
- Record food waste and follow company procedures to help minimise waste and improve sustainability.
- Follow all food safety, health & safety, COSHH, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Work flexibly across different shifts, including evenings and weekends, to support the needs of the business.
- Work closely with the Catering Manager, Head Chef, and wider team to deliver an outstanding catering service.
What you'll bring
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, retail, or customer service is desirable, but not essential.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, flexible, and reliable approach with a willingness to support different areas of the catering operation.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and safe working practices, or a willingness to learn.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- High standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and attention to detail.
- Confidence working independently as well as part of a supportive team.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to use your initiative and identify where support is needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays when required.
- Food Safety qualifications are desirable, but full training will be provided.
