Key Responsibilities
- Support the effective administration of the College’s bursary, childcare, and Adult Learner Support funds, ensuring applications are processed accurately and students are assessed against the relevant eligibility criteria.
- Record agreed data on the College MIS system, process BACS payments for weekly bursary awards, and maintain accurate records of expenditure in line with funding body guidance and College financial regulations.
- Liaise with students, tutors, Student Advisors, childcare providers, nurseries and childminders.
- Support Discretionary Support Funds Panel meetings by taking minutes, maintaining clear records of decisions, and following up agreed actions.
- Help prepare and distribute information, publicity, and associated forms relating to the funds.
- Respond to enquiries from applicants, notify applicants and tutors of decisions, and prepare papers where appeals are required.
