Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented, reliable, and proactive Event Supervisors to join our matchday and event security/stewarding team at Turf Moor Stadium - Home to Burnley Football Club.

Location: Turf Moor - Home of Burnley FC (BB10 4BX)

Pay: £15.25 per hour

Hours: Casual shifts for football and ad-hoc events (usually 5-7 hours long). Football events primarily take place on evenings and weekends.

As a Matchday Security Supervisor, you will lead and motivate a team of SIA-licensed operatives, ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of all staff and visitors at the venue. You’ll be responsible for delivering a 5-star service in line with the venue’s licensing conditions and high standards.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the dedicated radio holder for your zone or sector
  • Managing search teams for persons and bags at entry points
  • Responding to crowd management issues and security incidents
  • Supporting with ejections and interventions where needed
  • Liaising with the client’s Safety Officer and attending pre-event briefings
  • Leading by example in customer service and professional standards

The ideal candidate:

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to working at least 75% of home fixtures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Smart, professional appearance
  • Previous security or stewarding experience
  • Prior supervisory experience within events or stadiums
  • Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this (funded)
  • Willingness to work at other Carlisle venues such as Huddersfield Town, Leeds United, Manchester Central, Anfield Stadium and M&S Bank Arena
