Job Description
Events Manager to join our team in Burgess Hill on a 12-month contract.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Events Team Leader and event professionals to plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide range of internal and external events aligned to business and marketing objectives, including conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, customer visits, virtual events, and hybrid events.

A per hour rate, in-scope IR35 of £26.66 per hour (PAYE) OR £35.31 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company), in-scope IR35
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of internal and external events.
- Source and contract venues.
- Coordinate event content, speakers, and attendee communications.
- Track and manage event budgets.
- Raise purchase orders and manage invoicing and payments.
- Organise travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Deliver on-site event and delegate management.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety compliance.
- Monitor registrations and attendee lists.
- Support event reporting and feedback to stakeholders.
- Ensure events comply with Medtech Europe guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
- Support team engagement, onboarding, and training activities.
- Proven experience managing virtual, hybrid, and face-to-face events.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work effectively under pressure.
- Understanding of the role of events within a commercial organisation.
- Experience using Cvent, Salesforce, or similar event management platforms.
- Event Management, Marketing, or Business-related qualification.
- Understanding of customer journey mapping.
- Experience within healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences environments.
