We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a fantastic nursery setting in Burgess Hill.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic childcare professional who is committed to providing exceptional early years education and creating positive learning experiences for young children.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in nurturing children's development, supporting their learning through play, and creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

You must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or an equivalent recognised qualification to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Observe, assess, and monitor children's development and progress.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the nursery and maintain high standards of care.
  • Follow and implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate best practice in early years education.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support children's learning and development.
  • Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance the nursery environment and children's experiences.

About You

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
  • A sound understanding of child development and early years best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and development.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
