The Opportunity
The Best Connection Walsall are currently recruiting for an experienced Tool Maker to join a well-established manufacturing business in the Walsall area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual looking for a permanent day shift role within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, maintain and repair tooling to a high standard.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate a range of manual machine tools, including milling machines, lathes and grinders.
- Carry out tool modifications and improvements to support production requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve tooling issues efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with quality and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement activities within the toolroom.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tool Maker within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of toolroom machinery and equipment.
- Experience with tool maintenance, repairs and modifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
