Location: Bromsgrove / Worcestershire

Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Key Adult / Learning Support Mentor to support a young person receiving an Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) package
You will build a trusted relationship, supporting educational activities both at home and in the community (including outdoor learning and train-spotting excursions)
Key Responsibilities
- Accompany and support the young person across various activities, including forest school, community workshops, and swimming/leisure visits
- Facilitate travel to and from activities using your own vehicle
- Deliver indirect therapeutic strategies designed by Speech & Language, Occupational, and Physiotherapy specialists
- Implement self-regulation techniques and a sensory diet to assist during moments of dysregulation or anxiety
- Collaborate and maintain handover communication with the broader therapy team and family
Requirements
- Experience with Special Educational Needs, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
- PDA training will be provided
- Patient, active listener who excels at collaborative, low-demand, and interest-led mentoring
- Valid UK Driver's Licence with business/sufficient car insurance to transport the young person
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
