As Retail Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding food across the stadium's retail and fan-focused offerings, including concourses, fan zones and large-scale event catering. You'll work closely with the Senior Head Chef and Executive Chef to drive food quality, operational excellence and commercial performance while leading and inspiring a high-performing kitchen team. What You'll Do:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the retail catering operation across matchdays and non-matchday events.
- Creating innovative, exciting and commercially successful menus that enhance the fan experience.
- Leading, motivating and developing kitchen teams to consistently deliver exceptional standards.
- Driving food quality, presentation and consistency across all retail outlets.
- Managing stock control, purchasing, food costing and waste management to maximise profitability.
- Ensuring the highest standards of food safety, health and safety and legislative compliance are maintained at all times.
- Monitoring customer feedback and identifying opportunities to improve products and service.
- Supporting recruitment, training and succession planning across the kitchen operation.
- Championing innovation and staying ahead of current food and hospitality trends.
What You Bring:
- At least two years' experience working in a chef position within a busy catering, hospitality or events environment.
- Excellent culinary skills and a passion for food innovation.
- Experience leading, developing and motivating kitchen teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, including food costing, budgeting and stock management.
- The ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume operation.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach, taking ownership and pride in delivering great results.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and all matchdays as required.
