As a bank Oncology Pharmacist at our Brighton Hospital, you'll be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and you'll have proven post-qualification experience.
As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will
- Join our talented multidisciplinary team
- Be the trusted Medicines Management Lead for our hospital
- Deliver high-quality clinical care and advice where it's needed
- Offer services to a range of departments, including the pre-assessment clinic, outpatient department, ward and theatres
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Educate patients on the proper use of prescribed medications
Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology for the provision of Chemotherapy treatment
- Assess the health and well-being of patients whose needs may be complex and changing within the context of their medicines
- Discuss, agree and explain responsibilities for assessment of patients with the clinical team, with specific reference to the patient's pharmaceutical needs and oncology medication
As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will have
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and disease management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Have completed oncology pharmacist competencies as set by BOPA and Pan-London framework
- Experience with IQEMO highly desirable
- Be computer literate
- Familiar with EPR systems
- At least 2 years experience in an oncology setting

- Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy and oncology
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
