Freelance Finishing Manager - Construction

  • We are currently seeking an experienced

Freelance Finishing Manager to support the final stages of a construction project. This is a hands‑on role focused on delivering high-quality finishes and ensuring a smooth handover to the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all finishing trades including painting, decorating, flooring, carpentry, and snagging
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion
  • Carry out detailed snagging inspections and ensure defects are resolved promptly
  • Maintain high standards of quality control across all finishing works
  • Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to meet deadlines
  • Ensure health & safety regulations are followed on site
  • Assist with final handover and client inspections

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on construction projects
  • Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
