We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to carry out painting, decorating, preparation, and finishing work in residential and/or commercial properties.
The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, take pride in their work, and be able to complete projects to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, scraping, and repairing imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, stains, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes.
- Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools safely and effectively.
- Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas before starting work.
- Mix and match colours and finishes as required.
- Carry out interior and exterior painting and decorating work.
- Complete work to agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe throughout the job.
- Identify and report any damage, defects, or additional work required.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project.
