G4S Facilities Management is actively seeking an experienced HVAC Lead to join our team at Hinkley Point C. In this position, you will manage an AC supervisor and lead an AC Team consisting of 6 engineers. You will work across a range of sites to maintain and repair assets, building fabric, services, and the wider estate. We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced HVAC engineer to step into this essential role and ensure the highest standards of service.

Core Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Development: Lead an AC Supervisor and a team of Air Con engineers, stepping in for technical works when seniority is required. Actively assist in the training, development, and cross-skilling of the wider maintenance staff to build a versatile team.
  • Maintenance Operations & Diagnostics: Execute and oversee planned maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs across heating, ventilation, electrical, mechanical, and security assets. Utilize BMS systems, detailed drawings, and operational manuals to effectively fault-find and maintain equipment.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Carry out essential Health & Safety checks on staff and the working environment. Manage necessary permits to work. Meticulously update and review F-Gas log books with the AC team to ensure strict compliance.
  • Emergency & Reactive Response: Safely and effectively resolve breakdowns and damage to assets. Participate in emergency call-out arrangements and provide crucial out-of-hours response when necessary.
  • Project Management & Commercial Support: Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and supervise minor project tasks. Help formulate quotes for system upgrades, and quality check and sign off on minor installation works. Operate on a fixed site basis to assist in development work or cover for absent site managers.
  • Reporting & Administration: Deliver essential daily operational information to the Hard FM manager in time for co-ordination meetings. Write up accurate reports and technical procedures for all building maintenance activities.
