Part-time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 91-year-old woman living in the Corntown area near Bridgend. It is imperative for me to remain as independent as possible in my own home. I do have some mobility issues and require support at home.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a PA to support me at home with domestic tasks, provide companionship and to support my wellbeing.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 6 hours per week available. These hours would be worked on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and would be 11am to 1pm each day. Some flexibility here if needed.
RATES OF PAY
£17 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
- Reminding me to take my medication.
- Preparing and serving me food.
- Supporting me with my eye drops.
- Providing me with some company and conversation during shifts.
- Domestic tasks such as laundry, washing up etc.

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
