We currently have two Pupil Support Worker positions available: one permanent role and one 1-year maternity cover direct contract, both starting in September.

Parkside School is seeking a committed colleague to join our team in the role of Pupil Support Worker.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with Key Stage Managers to deliver high quality pastoral care, primarily focusing on a specified year group.
You will play a vital role in securing the highest levels of attendance, behaviour and wellbeing, helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
You will also work in partnership with families, internal teams and external agencies to provide tailored support for every child.
Additionally, you will serve as a Coach for a small group of students, guiding them in their personal and academic growth.
Please note this is a term time only (+ 5 days) position, working 37 hours, Mon-Fri per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting
Students: Work closely with Key Stage Managers, coaches and mentors to deliver pastoral support, assess student needs, and create plans that improve behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
Assist with transitions, personal needs, and conduct home or welfare visits as needed.
- Support for the
Teacher: Maintain accurate record keeping on platforms like CPOMs, gather student information from feeder schools, monitor action plans, and liaise with SENCO and pastoral staff to address barriers to learning.
- Stakeholder
Collaboration: Build positive, constructive relationships with parents and carers, exchanging information to support student progress, while fostering links with external support agencies and outside services.

Duties: Act as a Coach for a small group of students, assist with supervision before, during, and after school, attend school events, support the behaviour policy, and provide cover supervision for classes when operationally required.
- Professional Development and
Safeguarding: Uphold strict safeguarding and child protection procedures as a proactive member of the safeguarding team, participate in training such as Team Teach or first aid, and maintain professional standards at all times.
