Martin & Fahy Accountants LLP are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our busy and friendly accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accountancy. No previous experience is required, as full on-the-job training will be provided by senior members of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts for a variety of clients
- VAT return preparation and submission
- Payroll processing and reporting
- Basic tax return preparation
- General administrative and office duties, including answering telephone calls, filing, and shredding
As your knowledge and experience develop, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the wide range of services provided by the firm and take on additional responsibilities.
Training and Development
This is an entry-level position and no prior accountancy experience is required. Initial training will be provided within the workplace by senior members of staff, allowing you to build practical experience across a range of accountancy and business services. For this position, a formal study package is not offered at the outset; however, following a suitable period of employment, a study package will be offered to support your professional qualifications and ongoing development.
