This transformation is delivering new, state-of-the-art theatre facilities including an innovative four-table ‘barn’ theatre, one of the first of its kind in the UK, and significant investment in the future of Robotic surgery. We are currently expanding our services and staffing establishment in line with the transformation of services across UHD. This is an exciting period of growth and we are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals across a range of experience levels to join our friendly and supportive Theatre teams.
We are looking for individuals who are:

Training streams to support the development to Registered Practitioner through Apprentice programme. Provide high-quality care across multiple specialities supporting Registered Scrub Practitioners in Vascular, Emergency, General, Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Head and Neck, Obstetrics and Robotic Surgery.
Work within a 24-hour, 7-day theatre service, participating in night shifts, weekend rotas, and bank holiday coverage. Base site - UHD Royal Bournemouth & Poole Hospital.
UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview. This service has a planned move in April 2027. If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
