We have an excellent opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive team as a Residential Support Worker. April Court is a Residential Care Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities. The friendly and committed team at April Court are passionate about ensuring our residents are supported to maintain their individuality.

As a Residential Support Worker you will be working directly with our residents to support them in all aspects of their daily lives, personal care, accessing and engaging with the community, maintaining effective personal relationships, following personal plans and assessments.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide care and support that promotes client choice and independence.
  • Undertake personal care duties as required including manual handling.
  • Work to required standards to comply with CQC guidelines.
  • Maintain dignity, privacy and respect for our clients.
  • The ability to work flexibly across the week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

What you need:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 Certificate or be prepared to work towards a qualification.
  • Knowledge and awareness of Care Act 2014 and Safeguarding legislation.
  • A working knowledge of CQC standards and the single assessment framework.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • A full current UK driving licence with preferably use of a car and be willing to drive the home’s vehicles.

Part-time – 27 hours per week.
