Join a dynamic and supportive therapy led team and embark on a fulfilling journey as a Community Reablement Assistant. In this flexible and rewarding role, you will be working alongside Occupational Therapists and Reablement Officers playing a vital part in helping individuals regain their confidence and independence after a hospital stay. As the first point of contact for those returning home, you’ll provide essential support and bring positivity to their recovery journey, making a meaningful difference in their lives every day.

What you’ll do:

  • Supporting people with their personal care and empowering them to do as much as possible on their own.
  • Monitoring and providing feedback on the progress of people’s goals.
  • Assisting with medication and encouraging independence.
  • Completing care records and other relevant paperwork.
  • Facilitating access to community groups and services.

A valid licence and use of a car for work purposes will be required as the role involves visiting people across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area. 35 hours per week. Previous experience in a care setting would be an advantage and you must hold, or be willing to work towards, a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care. A valid licence to drive in the UK is required as the role involves travelling locally and lone working.

We operate services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, ranging from Residential Homes, Day Services, Supported Living sites and Reablement Home Care.

  • Competitive Hourly Rate: From £13.74 per hour with opportunities for career and pay progression. Staff are paid for the whole shift.
  • Higher Pay on Weekends (from £17.17 an hour) and Bank Holidays (from £27.48 an hour).

  • Mileage: You’ll receive 55p per mile for all travel between clients. Travel time between clients fully paid.
