To provide expert, continuous guidance, psychological support, and clinical care to patients navigating breast screening, diagnosis, and cancer treatment. They act as a central point of contact between the patient and the wider medical team.
Base site location - UHD Royal Bournemouth Hospital with cross site working. Interview date - September 8th 2026.
A Breast Care Specialist Nurse acts as a key worker and central point of contact. They provide holistic, physical, and psychological care to patients with breast cancer, benign breast disease, or high-risk family histories from initial diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and survivorship.
UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview. This service will be across UHD, Bournemouth and Poole sites from phase 3 moves 2027.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
