The predicted salary is between 24489 - 29931 £ per year.

Grade scp 5 £48,508 to scp 8 £52,761, pro rata £9,491 to £10,324, essential car user allowance up to £963pa pay award pending.

Contract: fixed term 6 months.

Essential requirement: full driving licence.

Essential qualification: Evidence of recent post qualification of study or training (e.g. WellComm, ELKAN, I CAN, speech and language therapy training, Solihull Approach).

The Role:

This is an exciting role within Bolton Start Well Service for an Early Years Consultant. Come and join a great team in the Start Well Service to ensure Bolton can meet the needs of children and families in Early years education and deliver the Best Start in Life plan. The role is to lead and support inclusive, high quality early years providers to raise attainment for all children and narrow the gap between the most disadvantaged and the rest and improve school readiness age 5 years. The post holder will work with Early education and childcare providers including schools, nurseries, childminders and out of school provision to improve outcomes for children by the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The post is fixed term for 1 day per week.

About You:

An experienced, qualified Early Years leader, you will have excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and the Best Start in Life strategy and be passionate about inclusive early years education. You can understand the unique needs and challenges of the sector, you are confident to implement the local authority's statutory duties for early education and childcare, ensuring funded providers meet the requirements of the Bolton Early Education Funding Agreement. The post holder will be a leader who understands the current challenges faced by providers of Early education and childcare and be able to use a variety of approaches to support providers to ensure their settings are safe, inclusive and effective. You will have a sound understanding of EYFS statutory expectations and inspection frameworks, the SEND code of practice and Safeguarding. We need a strong communicator and confident presenter who can share ideas and strengthen the knowledge of the early year’s workforce. You are a productive team member who can prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
