The Diabetes and Endocrinology service at Bolton NHS FT currently have a vacancy for a Diabetes Specialist Nurse. You will work as an autonomous, advanced practitioner supporting with the delivery of an expert service within the specialist area both from an inpatient and outpatient base. The post holder will support community patients from the Bolton Diabetes Centre as well as within the acute setting providing direct care to inpatients and working as part of the wider MDT.

The role carries educational responsibilities for patients and other health care professionals which will be delivered in one to one sessions and group environments. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can demonstrate good leadership qualities to ensure our patients receive care that is safe, responsive, effective, caring and well led.

As a member of our team you will be supported and encouraged to be a part of our ongoing service development and dedication to making a difference to patients with diabetes. The position is for 37.5 hours per week (over a 7 day week) and the post holder must be self-motivated, a team player who is forward thinking and enthusiastic about the nursing profession.
