We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our Community team on a part-time, Permanent basis. This position is well-suited to a reliable and flexible person who is looking to gain experience in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of the role and the local area. This role is subject to Standard DBS disclosure.

Job Role:

  • Daily routine maintenance of fleet vehicles, complete regular safety checklist and reporting of any faults to department manager.
  • Provides a support service to open and close multiple Community premises in a timely manner, undertaking and recording the necessary Health and Safety inspections to ensure that the premises are safe for the public and staff to use.
  • Carries out an external inspection of the building including the car park, identifying any graffiti, broken glass, and vandalism, taking action or reporting repairs if necessary.
  • Works flexibly between premises to respond to requests to attend for ad-hoc support such as deliveries, contractors and alarm activations.
  • Works as part of a team, undertaking domestic duties as directed by the Building Coordinator or Facilities Supervisor which include cleaning, moving furniture and waste removal.
  • Works with the Building Coordinator to ensure that the agreed delivery standards and KPIs for the service are met.
  • Actively works to prevent fraud and ensures that resources are used economically, efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to prepare, use, clean and store equipment, tools and materials
  • Aware of safe systems of transporting items
  • Able to follow schedules and procedures within work area
