The Governing Board of High Lawn Primary and Nursery School wish to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice School Business Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience while working towards developing key skills in school business management.
You will support and learn from an experienced School Business Manager, contributing to the delivery of administrative, financial and organisational services across the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the organisation and development of school systems and procedures;
- Assisting with administrative tasks, data management and report preparation;
- Learning how financial systems operate, including budgeting and procurement;
- Supporting facilities, contracts and resource management;
- Assisting with compliance areas such as Health & Safety, GDPR and statutory requirements;
- Contributing to effective communication with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies.
This apprenticeship will provide structured training and hands-on experience to support your professional development in a school environment. The approved apprenticeship provider is Salford City College.
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, highly organised and committed to developing a career within school business management.
You will:
- Have GCSEs in English and Maths (Grades 9-4/AC or equivalent);
- Be required to complete a Level 4 School Business Professional Apprenticeship with our approved apprenticeship provider, Salford City College. Applicants must therefore NOT already hold a Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification or similar at the same level or above;
- Demonstrate strong numeracy, literacy and ICT skills;
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships;
- Show initiative, motivation and a willingness to learn and develop;
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a range of people;
- Be organised and able to manage time and priorities effectively.
