The company:

A well established regional contractor who specialises in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure.

The role:

As the site Slinger you will be responsible for

  • Direct and control lifting operations safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with crane operators using approved hand signals and radio communication.
  • Attach and detach loads using appropriate lifting accessories.
  • Inspect lifting equipment and report any defects.
  • Ensure all lifting activities comply with site procedures and lifting plans.
  • Maintain safe working areas around lifting operations.
  • Work closely with site management and other trades to ensure operations run smoothly.

About you:

Ideally you will have previous working experience in a Slinger position.

You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be weary of others who are working alongside of you.

You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller qualification.
  • Previous experience working on construction or civil engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
