Starting Tuesday 2nd September | 1 Month Assignment | £13.20 per hour | Blandford

We are currently recruiting for a Forklift & Yard Operative to support a client in Blandford during a busy period for approx 4 weeks.

The company specialises in materials management working with customers across a range of industries.

The role will involve working within a busy operational environment, helping with the safe and efficient handling and processing of materials.

This is a hands-on, physical role and would suit someone who is reliable, hardworking and comfortable working in an industrial environment.

The responsibilities for the Forklift & Yard Operative position

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for safely moving and handling materials around the site and supporting the day-to-day production operation.

  • Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading materials and waste
  • Moving and organising stock and materials around the site
  • Supporting the production
  • Ensuring materials are stored safely and correctly
  • Carrying out daily checks of the forklift and reporting any issues
  • Keeping the work area clean, tidy and organised
  • Following site rules, health & safety and manual handling procedures
  • Working as part of a team to maintain an efficient operation
  • For this Forklift & Yard Operative role we are looking for candidates who are:
  • Experienced and confident forklift drivers
  • Hold a current UK Counterbalance forklift licence
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Safety-conscious and able to follow site procedures
  • Comfortable working in a busy industrial environment
  • Happy with a hands-on and physical role
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Available for the full 1-month assignment
