Are you a passionate and experienced nurse looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Bladder and Bowel Specialist Nurse to join our friendly and supportive Community Continence Service in Barnet on a permanent basis.

In this rewarding role, you will provide expert assessment, treatment and ongoing management for adults with complex bladder and bowel conditions, including urinary catheter care. Working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based continence care that empowers patients to improve their quality of life and maintain their independence.

As a clinical leader, you will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, person-centred care across Barnet, while supporting service development, quality improvement, education, and colleague development.   • Deliver expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for patients with complex bladder and bowel conditions, including urinary catheter management.
  • Develop and implement personalised, evidence-based care plans that promote independence, self-management and improved patient outcomes.
  • Provide specialist clinical advice and support to patients, carers and healthcare professionals across community and primary care settings.
  • Act as a clinical leader and expert resource, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations to deliver integrated, person-centred care.
  • Lead and contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audit, research and the implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Support the development, review and implementation of clinical guidelines, policies and care pathways to enhance service delivery.
  • Supervise, mentor and educate registered and non-registered staff, promoting clinical excellence and continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to clinical governance activities, ensuring high standards of patient safety, quality and compliance with Trust and national standards.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional practice in accordance with the NMC Code, Trust policies and relevant national guidance.
