Their main duties include quality assurance, setting up the assembly line, and ensuring that the line meets productivity goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Time Management - To be present on line at specified start time.
  • Adhere to allocated break times and return promptly from comfort breaks.
  • Set up and be able to run different production lines.
  • Follow production plan and effectively manage staff allocated to the line in order to deliver units planned within the allocated time.
  • Be a true leader able to train, instruct and motivate operatives on the line.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for new starters and existing employees.
  • Monitor operator performance and provide coaching where required.
  • Promote positive team behaviour and address minor performance concerns.
  • Ensure effective communication between management and production operatives.
  • Advise production supervisor of any issues on the production line.
  • Track efficiency and constantly review line speed and downtime to ensure line is running to the plan.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and safety.
  • Work safely and within Bees Seeds Health and Safety Guidelines.
  • Housekeeping advocate - To help keep work area tidy and remove waste.
  • Manual handling - to move items safely as instructed.
  • Respect other team members and abide by the Bees Seeds Culture and Team Promises.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to and realign staff where necessary.
  • Ensure all products meet customer and quality specifications.
  • Stop production and elevate quality concerns when standards cannot be met.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming products.
  • Support the SHEQ team ensuring effective pre-use check and all relevant SSOW's are defined and fully integrated into the organisation.
  • Report any safety issues on the production line and elevate if necessary
  • Attend team and individual meetings with Supervisors as well as briefs and toolbox talks.
