This part-time opportunity offers the best of both worlds: the chance to use your clinical expertise and make a real difference to the people we support, while having the flexibility to balance your career alongside other commitments. As part of our transition to Active Neuro, the therapy service is evolving into a seven-day model of care to better support the rehabilitation needs of our clients. As a result, occasional pre-arranged weekend working will be required. You will also be expected to work Bank Holidays as required by the service, with enhanced pay provided in line with company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for individuals with complex neurological needs and spinal injuries.
- Manage a varied caseload, providing specialist OT input tailored to individual goals.
- Keep up to date with current treatment approaches and contribute to service improvement initiatives within your specialist area.
- Support the integration of specialist rehabilitation technologies into everyday practice, aligned with our 24-hour rehabilitation model.
- Participate in audits and assist with monitoring and evaluating service effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with MDT colleagues to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff when needed, especially in complex cases.
- Follow and promote risk management and safety procedures consistently.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects, outcome measurement, and clinical governance activities.
