We are recruiting a Senior Placements Officer for our client based in Birmingham.
Responsibilities for Senior Placements Officer
- Coordinate placements for children and young people, ensuring services meet assessed needs and deliver value for money.
- Liaise with social workers, providers and partner agencies to secure suitable placements.
- Monitor provider performance, quality, safeguarding and contractual compliance.
- Analyse placement data, service demand and market trends to support commissioning decisions.
- Produce management information, performance reports and statutory returns.
- Support the development of commissioning strategies, service specifications and business cases.
- Maintain accurate records and business intelligence to support planning and forecasting.
- Build effective relationships with internal teams, providers and external stakeholders.
- Support contract management, procurement activities and market development.
- Contribute to projects, service reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage children, young people, parents and carers in service development and co-production.
- Respond to Freedom of Information requests, complaints and governance requirements.
- Monitor KPIs, service performance and quality standards, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, data protection and organisational policies.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues and contribute to effective team performance.
