Are you currently working in an SEN school, PRU, Alternative Provision or SEMH setting and open to hearing about opportunities in mainstream education? Hays Education is working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across North Birmingham, including areas such as Sutton Coldfield, Erdington, Kingstanding, Great Barr, Perry Barr, Handsworth, Aston and Castle Vale. Many of these schools have recently established specialist SEN resource bases and enhanced provision for pupils with additional needs. As a result, they are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants who can bring their expertise from specialist settings into a mainstream environment.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience working in an SEN, PRU, Alternative Provision or SEMH environment in the UK

  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to adapt and support pupils both within the classroom and in specialist provisions
  • Recent experience working with children that can be referenced
