Are you looking for a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs in the new academic year?As schools prepare for September, I am recruiting compassionate, dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and 1:1 Support Assistants to work across a range of primary schools throughout South Birmingham and Solihull.
Whether you have extensive SEN experience, are currently working as a Teaching Assistant, or have transferable experience supporting children with additional needs, I have a variety of opportunities available to suit your skills, preferences and availability.

Your new role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant or 1:1 Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENDCos and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning, behavioural, emotional or physical needs.

You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.
- What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or within an educational setting
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Knowledge of Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs or SEMH would be beneficial
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent is desirable
- Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to adapt learning and support strategies to meet individual needs
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and succeed
