Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Maintain and service AHUs, FCUs, boilers, calorifiers, and other plant room equipment.
  • Complete maintenance records using CAFM systems (e. g., Maximo).
  • Read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with HTM standards, health & safety regulations, and company KPIs.
  • Work independently and report any issues to the Mechanical Team Leader.
  • Support maintenance across hospital buildings, including clinical areas when required.

Requirements

  • City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical training.
  • Experience with mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and PPM.
  • Good knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, boilers, calorifiers, and plant room equipment.
  • Healthcare, NHS, or PFI experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and use CAFM systems.
