This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape policy on connected and emerging vehicle technologies, helping to maximise innovation while managing risks around safety, data protection and cyber resilience. Working closely with ministers, government departments, industry and international stakeholders, you will support the safe deployment of new vehicle technologies and influence standards development. Based in the International Vehicle Standards Division, the role contributes to improving road safety, environmental outcomes and the future regulation of transport technologies.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Lead the collaboration across the Department to deliver Connected Vehicle Services
  • Lead work to secure access to historical emergency call (eCall) data
  • Shaping discussions across Government on the risks around connected vehicles
  • Task management of 2 SEOs

Colleagues are expected to work with a degree of flexibility, meaning responsibilities may change to support priority delivery.
