Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking to recruit a part-time Business Support Officer to support their SENAR team. Birmingham City Council is looking for a highly organised and motivated Business Support Officer to join our SENAR (Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review) Central Business Support Team on a part-time basis (21 hours per week). This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities across Birmingham.
Working within a busy and supportive team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to help ensure Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes are delivered accurately and within statutory timescales. The role involves managing a busy shared mailbox, maintaining accurate records, processing documentation, and responding to enquiries from families, schools, colleagues and external professionals. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will help the team meet statutory deadlines, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure administrative processes are completed efficiently and accurately.
