Your new role
As an MEP BIM Engineer, based in Birmingham, you will play a key role in the development, coordination and optimisation of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) building services models.
Working closely with design engineers, project teams and offsite fabrication specialists, you will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, fully coordinated BIM models that support both construction and prefabrication processes.
You will be actively involved throughout the project lifecycle, from design coordination through to installation validation and as‑built handover, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency at every stage.
Your responsibilities will include
- Developing and maintaining fully coordinated MEP BIM models using Revit
- Collaborating with design engineers to translate schematics into detailed 3D models
- Supporting clash detection and coordination activities using Navisworks Manage
- Participating in and contributing to model coordination workshops with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing and maintaining information within the Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Producing high‑quality construction and installation drawings from BIM models
- Working closely with offsite manufacturing teams to create fabrication‑ready models
- Reviewing models against design intent, specifications and project standards
- Supporting site teams by validating installations against BIM models
- Producing accurate as‑installed / as‑built models for commissioning and handover
- Using BIM data to contribute to sustainability initiatives, including embodied carbon tracking and energy performance analysis
