CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Facilities Management organisation, working on a major healthcare contract in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in FM, maintenance, construction or building services projects to take full responsibility for the delivery of variations, lifecycle and small capital projects across a large and complex estate.

The successful candidate will manage projects from initial concept through to completion, taking responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance, health & safety, contractors and stakeholder relationships.

Package

  • Competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
  • Company car or car allowance of £5,200 per annum

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the delivery of variations, lifecycle and small capital projects from inception through to completion
  • Manage project budgets, P&L, costs, margins and financial performance
  • Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end client, SPV, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently
  • Identify and manage project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant health & safety, CDM, building regulations and statutory requirements
  • Review and provide input into designs, specifications, drawings and tender documentation
  • Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, working practices and health & safety
  • Manage snagging, defects and project close-out within agreed timescales
  • Ensure works are carefully planned to minimise disruption to patients, staff and building users within a live healthcare environment
  • Manage financial processes including invoicing, receipting, payment applications and change control
  • Support the wider Project, Lifecycle and Operational teams to ensure contractual requirements and KPIs are achieved
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and effective project governance across the site

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within Facilities Management, Building Services, Construction or Maintenance
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, costs and supplier contracts as well as managing contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience managing small works, lifecycle or capital projects across a large and complex estate
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Project
  • Experience using CAFM, estates or project management systems
  • Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects and deliver against challenging deadlines
