This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer looking to develop their technical expertise and progress within a highly respected consultancy environment.

Your new role

As an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across a range of projects.

Working closely with Electrical, Mechanical and BIM teams, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction support.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Designing electrical building services systems for a variety of sector‑leading projects.
  • Producing calculations, reports, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Designing lighting, small power, power distribution, emergency lighting and associated electrical systems.
  • Undertaking site surveys and attending project meetings.
  • Coordinating designs through Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting project delivery to programme and budget requirements.
  • Mentoring graduate and junior engineers where appropriate.
  • What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working within a building services consultancy environment and possess a strong understanding of electrical design principles.

You will ideally have

  • Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services.
  • Knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and British Standards.
  • Experience working on projects within commercial, residential, healthcare, data centre or public sector environments.

• Proficiency with

  • Amtech
  • Revit
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A desire to work towards or progress Chartership.

For senior‑level applicants, experience leading projects, mentoring engineers and managing client relationships would be advantageous.
