Duties of the HGV Technician:
- - Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
- - Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- - Complete vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
- - Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and DVSA standards
- - Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
- - Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- - Work efficiently and independently during night shifts
- - Provide excellent customer service and technical support as required
Requirements for the HGV Technician:
- - NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- - Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred
- - Previous experience working on HGVs and trailers
- - Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- - HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is desirable
- - Ability to work independently and within a team
- - Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
- - Right to work in the UK
