Duties of the HGV Technician:

  • - Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
  • - Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
  • - Complete vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
  • - Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and DVSA standards
  • - Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
  • - Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
  • - Work efficiently and independently during night shifts
  • - Provide excellent customer service and technical support as required

Requirements for the HGV Technician:

  • - NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • - Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred
  • - Previous experience working on HGVs and trailers
  • - Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • - HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is desirable
  • - Ability to work independently and within a team
  • - Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
  • - Right to work in the UK
