Father Hudson’s Caritas has a vacancy for a Family Support Worker to provide a range of support services to address the social and emotional needs of children and their families. We are looking for an experienced Family Support Worker with knowledge and skills to undertake direct work with vulnerable primary and secondary aged children and their families. This is a school-based role, and you will be required to work in three schools. This role is whole year, and you will be required to work during some of the school holidays.

- SS Mary & John Catholic Primary School, Gravely Hill North, Erdington, Birmingham, B23 6BQ - Wednesday & Thursday, 15 hours
- SS Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School, Kingsbury Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B24 9ND - Friday, 7.5 hours
The starting salary scale for this post is SCP 27 paid at £30,572.55 per annum, pro rata. It is essential that you hold a full driving licence and have access to a car. Working with schools, health and social care agencies, and the voluntary sector, our Family Support Service supports children and families to overcome adversity and disadvantage they face, particularly where these are affecting a child’s emotional wellbeing, mental health, and educational achievement. About Father Hudson's Family Support:
We are a bespoke service, offering a diverse range of support packages to the most vulnerable children and their families in local schools. We work across the Midlands, Newcastle under Lyme, and Oxfordshire, providing 1:1 support in around 18 primary schools/High schools. As a Family Support Worker, you will be working directly with the individual children, their parents/carers, and working collaboratively with key staff in school to deliver a package of tailored interventions to strengthen and improve their outcomes, to build their resilience and help them to be the very best they can be.
