The predicted salary is between 37035 - 45265 £ per year.
The post holder will be required to provide senior leadership and supervision of the diagnosis and treatment of children and young people referred into the neuro-oncology service through attendance at regular outpatient clinics and attendance at weekly MDT meetings.
There will be a need to provide acute paediatric medical oncology cover for patients with solid and CNS tumours during hot service weeks and on-call.
The post holder will oversee the day-day management of inpatient workload in collaboration with the junior medical team and nursing teams through participation in the departmental weekly on-service rota.
The post-holder will work collaboratively with other members of the wider MDT.
It should attract those with specialist training and experience in paediatric oncology, either in the UK or with equivalent training overseas.
The successful applicant will be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of expected completion of higher specialist training.
