Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Birmingham & the Midlands Region - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Commercial & Public Sector

Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking for a mobile role across the Midlands?

CBW Staffing Solutions have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading facilities management organisation on a permanent basis, working across a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts.

This role is predominantly based around Birmingham, with additional coverage across the East and West Midlands and Stoke, so candidates must be willing to travel as part of the role.

Package

  • Salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (1 in every 7 weeks)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Training, development & progression opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial boilers
  • Working on associated commercial gas equipment
  • Maintenance of gas fired radiant heaters
  • Servicing water heaters
  • Fault finding and maintenance of control valves
  • Occasional work on domestic boilers
  • Carrying out inspections, testing and ensuring all gas systems operate safely and efficiently
  • Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across a variety of commercial sites including schools, office buildings and specialist facilities

Requirements

  • Essential gas qualifications: COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1/CDGA1, ICPN1, CPA1, BMP1 and CCP1 (CCN1 and CENWAT are beneficial)
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer within a facilities management or building services environment
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience on commercial gas systems
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to travel across Birmingham, the East and West Midlands and Stoke (Engineers are expected to contribute up to one hour travel each way)
  • Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists check
