About Us:

Consilium Technical Services delivers Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) designs for urban and rural roads, dual carriageways and motorways across the UK, using the latest industry software and best practice standards. Alongside TTM design, we provide vehicle swept path analysis, consultancy, RRRAP assessments, BIM/3D design and traffic modelling, partnering with clients from early planning through to delivery.

About the role:

Due to continued business growth and an expanding order book, we are looking for an organised and proactive Business Administrator to join our team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a successful and growing business, working alongside a talented team of designers, engineers, and operational professionals. The successful candidate will provide administrative support across multiple business functions, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling and processing confidential and sensitive information
  • Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking accurate minutes
  • Preparing, maintaining, and distributing business documentation
  • Collating and reporting Health & Safety data and activities
  • Supporting Quality, Environmental, and compliance initiatives
  • Gathering and maintaining information from internal audits
  • Assisting with employee onboarding and induction processes
  • Inputting, updating, and maintaining company records and databases
  • Coordinating employee training and development activities
  • Managing and updating supplier information
  • Supporting finance-related activities where required
  • Assisting with business development initiatives and company projects
  • Providing general administrative support across the business

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and SharePoint
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • Experience within the Traffic Management, Construction, or Engineering sectors
  • Knowledge or experience of NetSuite, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Payroll administration experience
  • Familiarity with management systems, compliance, or audit processes
