Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting an alternative provision near Birkenhead that caters for learners who have struggled with mainstream education previously. The school requires 3 enthusiastic, experienced and capable Teaching Assistants for full time positions, 8:30-4:00 starting in September. This role will have the opportunity to go Permanent. The school is a provision to help pupils struggling with education, to progress and achieve. The alternative provision side is able to baseline and assess pupils, and provide respite for schools on an adhoc and daily basis.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of Supporting Children professionally - in Education, Youth work, Coaching, Residential
- Experience of supporting young people with SEND/SEMHA
- A resilient, pro-active nature with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Experience working in an AP or PRU previously.
Successful candidates must have:
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- At least two professional references, including the most recent or current employer
- The right to work in the UK
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
