  • £32,200 - £39,560 per annum - inclusive of shift premium, plus great benefits

We're looking for a transport team manager to join our depot in Biggleswade.

In this role you'll be responsible for leading a team of drivers to make sure that our products are despatched from the depot and are delivered on time, safely and securely.

You'll inspire, coach and lead your team to meet a variety of performance measures and mentoring your team to perform at their best at all time.

What you’ll do

  • lead a team of drivers
  • work towards critical success transport measures
  • mentor, engage and develop your team to be high performing at all times
  • conduct performance reviews and manage performance for your team
  • manage sickness and absence
  • review and log driver infringements
  • engage and build positive working relationships with various internal and external partners

What you’ll bring

  • previously managed a team, preferably from a logistics or FMCG background
  • the ability to work at pace and accuracy
  • a great track record of reaching and exceeding critical performance measures
  • an understanding and have relevant knowledge of transport compliance
  • great planning skills and able to organise your own and teams workload
  • an understanding of how poor service can impact stores and customers
  • strong and confident communication skills
