Due to expansion within the team, they are looking for shift engineers to join.

Role & responsibilities of a Shift Engineer

  • Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery
  • Working on control panels, HMi's, PLC's, SCADA Systems
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
  • Dealing with motors, VSD's, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
  • Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding

Knowledge, skills & experience need to be a Shift Engineer

  • Multi skilled engineer - ideally electrically biased
  • NVQ Level 3 engineering or maintenance minimum
  • Ideally HNC / HND qualified - time-served-apprenticeship
  • Must have worked in some form of fast-paced / Food / FMCG manufacturing industry
  • Strong electrical & mechanical problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of PLC's, automation & control systems, HMi's
  • Worked on motors, inverters, VSD's, sensors, switches, pneumatics, gearboxes
