The Best Connection are partnered with one of the regions leading providers of logistics and warehouse solutions and are recruiting for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join the team.

This is varied role that will involve general administration duties, liaising directly with customers and drivers as well as transport planning and administration.

Due to location applicants must live locally or have their own car for transport, previous transport administration experience is essential.

Responsibilities of the Transport Administrator

  • Complete all associated administration duties to the highest standards of accurate.
  • Communicate regularly with depot mangers, colleagues, drivers and clients to ensure that all products are delivered within required delivery windows and agreed timescales.
  • Maintain truck and trailer inspections, MOT, service records and company fleet vehicles.

Work with the Senior Logistics Manager to ensure smooth and efficient transportation of kit to the intended destination within strict timelines.

  • Complete all duties in accordance with transport legislation and working time directive.
  • Brief and de-brief drivers regarding delivery performance, paperwork and compliance.

Requirements of the Transport Administrator

  • Previous Transport/logistics administration experience with strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and hard working with a can-do attitude and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with good spoken and written English
  • Candidates must have own transport as there is no public transport to depot location
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
