About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / Labourer to join a busy composting and waste management facility based in Bicester.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role where you'll play an important part in keeping the site clean, safe, and running efficiently.
Working as part of the site operations team, you'll support the day-to-day running of the composting facility while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general yard cleaning and housekeeping across the composting facility.
- Sweep and clear waste, mud, compost residue, and other debris from working areas.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials around the site.
- Clean equipment, containers, and designated work areas.
- Support composting operations and assist machine operators when required.
- Maintain safe pedestrian walkways and vehicle traffic routes.
- Carry out manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.
- Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and wear the required PPE at all times.
- Report hazards, spillages, equipment defects, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Assist with any additional site duties as requested by management.
What We Offer?
- Saturday overtime paid at £19.37 per hour.
- Sunday overtime paid at £25.82 per hour, where required.
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
