We are currently supporting a family-run automotive commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southern England in recruiting a highly skilled and experienced HGV Technician for their Bicester location. This is an excellent opportunity for an HGV Technician seeking to join a reputable business with a longstanding history of operational excellence.

Duties of the HGV Technician:

  • Perform all service and maintenance work to the highest standards on heavy goods vehicles within specified manufacturer timeframes
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions
  • Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations to optimise workshop productivity
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Document diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and service activities accurately
  • Provide professional customer service by maintaining high-quality work standards
  • Support the workshop team in achieving operational targets and customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
  • Optional participation in roadside call-out rota and overtime shifts

Requirements of the HGV Technician:

  • IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Practical experience working with heavy goods vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills with attention to detail
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to work well within a team environment
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop setting
  • An active HGV driving licence or IRTEC accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential
