TEC Partnership is made up of four colleges, two training providers, a 14-16 provision and a nursery, stretching from Scarborough to Skegness with a Nottingham based campus also. About the role

Based at our campus at Beverley, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior ICT Technician to lead the day-to-day delivery of ICT services. On occasion, there will be a requirement to travel between other colleges. This role provides advanced second- and third-line technical support, acts as the senior escalation point for complex issues, and line manages a team of ICT technicians to ensure high-quality, reliable, and secure services. You will oversee the ICT helpdesk, maintain systems, networks, devices, and user access in line with cyber security, data protection, and safeguarding requirements, and support digital learning technologies and AV systems within teaching spaces. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will contribute to ICT projects, service improvements, and the ongoing development and resilience of technology that supports teaching, learning, and business operations.

About the person

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, technically strong, and committed to continuous improvement and professional development. They must also have the following qualifications:

  • Level 3 or higher qualification in ICT or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft 365, ITIL Foundation, or similar.
  • A full UK driving license and willingness to travel between sites are required.

They will bring significant experience delivering ICT technical support in a structured environment, with strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 administration, networking, cybersecurity principles, and digital learning and AV technologies. Demonstrable experience of resolving complex ICT issues, working to service levels, contributing to ICT projects, and supervising or mentoring technical staff is essential, ideally within an education or public-sector setting. This role requires excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills, the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, a proactive and customer-focused approach, and a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
